It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of

Bernard Cassidy

He passed away on December 15, 2017 at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of Lisette Ladouceur and father of Joanne (Perry Culley), Marc (Josée Gauthier); dear grandfather of Dylan and Sidney Cole; brother of Mary Catherine, Patrick and Robert.  Predeceased by his parents Gregory Bernard  Cassidy and Gladys Corkery and by his brother Michael.  He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends.

The celebration of prayers will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, at 95, Cité-des-Jeunes Bvld, in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Saturday, January 13,  2018 at 2 pm. The family will receive condolences as of 1:30 pm .

The family wishes to thank Dr Abou-Nassar, Dany Beaulieu and the Gatineau Hospital, 5th floor staff for their support and their good care.

The Family and many friends of Bernie Benard Cassidy

It is with deep sympathy, care, and compassion that we send our love and appreciation to you all his Family for the wonderful husband, Father, and Grandfather that we too were blessed to know as neighbor and as friends.

We look forward this coming Saturday to be present with you all relatives and friends that can attend and especially with his immediate Family wife Lisette, children Joanna, and Mark, and Grandchildren Sidney and Dyllan and their Dad Matt and other spouses and extended families.

May as we gather to celebrate his life and bid a final adieu to truly honor his life and journey to new life in Spirit.. see in the sadness also the joy of knowing that as his soul travels on to new dimensions of reality that we are all the richer for knowing such a great family man and neighbor. And that his dry wonderful sense of humor is passed on to all who knew him in so many roles.. and so we all have been richly blessed.

In the days ahead in your deep loss may you be reminded that as we bid a fond adieu and his soul soars on to be welcomed by others awaiting his arrival.. it is your love that will continue with him and his with yours. On behalf of all the Matheson's at Bordeaux/Aylmer we are blessed to be with you in both your sorrow and joy as we give deep thanks that Bernie is now in eternal peace.. safe journey home Bernie and thanks for being you!
