OBITUARY ALAN N MARTIN
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Alan N. Martin on February 19th, 2017, at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of late Lois Purdy and son of late Albert N. Martin and of late Emma Mary Hubbs. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Viola Purdy. He leaves behind his children: Irvin, Vera (Norm) and TImothy (Rena); his 3 grandchildren: and 1 great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his brother Frederick (Joyce); his sisters-in-law Barbara (late Frank) and Grace Purdy, brother-in-law Raymond Leduc (late Gertrude Purdy) many close nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
The celebration of his life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, at 1369, La Vérendrye O. Blvd (HWY 50 E, exit 141), in Gatineau, on April 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a reception. The family will receive the condolences at 5:00 p.m.
For those who wish to do so, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society and/or the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Carlingview Manor Nursing Home, 3rd floor, for theier devotion and excellent care provided to Alan. During Alan's stay at the Westwood Retirement Home some very special people touched his life. You know who you are and our family sincerely thanks you.
