This is a guide in the event of disability or death which is free of charge to our members. It explains how to prepare yourself to:

• Complete a mandate in case of incapacity;

• Produce your living will;

• Plan for your succession;

• Make your record of funeral wishes;

• Select your prearrangements;

• Know the steps taken at the time of your death;

• Learn about the various funeral rites. 

Personal Register

The personal register is a document in which you can record your information as well as your wishes for your funeral arrangements. This personal information will facilitate the funeral arrangements and settlement of your estate. It can be completed whenever you like.

To simply record your wishes for your funeral arrangements, you can fill in the form called To those I leave behind.

Solidarity

The Solidarity program has been set up by the members of the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais. It offers funerals at minimal cost for members * who lose a child.

A humane approach

The leaflets in the series A humane approach are available free of charge to members of the CFO. They deal with bereavement, pre-planning, and the reason for and organization of funeral services. 

Héritage (Available in French only)

The Héritage leaflet talks about respect for the environment. The CFO supports the Héritage project, which plants trees to offset the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from use of its vehicles and the interment of human remains.
