Ulrich Wodicka 1930-2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ulrich Wodicka on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017. Aged 86, our beloved Uli died unexpectedly at his home in Gatineau, leaving us gently just as he lived his life. Uli was the loving husband of Daphne Wodicka (born Moorhead) and the cherished and wonderful father of feu Mélanie, Stefan (feu Luh), Tanya (Sam), Natasha (David), Jan-Manuel (Thon Dee) and Joël-Pascal (Nathalie). He will be deeply missed by his brother Christoph (Ruth); his grandchildren Nicko (Caroline), Ayu, Gabriel (Mélissa), Éliane (Rémi), Lysandre (Luc), Soleil (Thalie), Geneviève, Jacob, Merlin and Colin; his great grandchildren Mikaël, Olivier, Izack, Ophélia, Maïka, Arthur, Nolan, and Youri; his nephew and niece Peter (Birgit) and Gudrun (Thomas) and their children Marek, Jana and Jan Luca; his cousin Renate (feu Axel) and her daughther Stefanie (Klaus); his sisters-in-law Kathleen and Doris (feu Gordon) and many relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Ida, and his brother Reinhard. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends in Canada and Germany.
Family and friends are invited to the wake on February 18th, 2017 at 12 p.m., followed by a ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Coopérative Funéraires de l’Outaouais, 95, boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau (sector Hull).
