Mike's family

Dear family of Mike,
I was so sad to learn today of Mike's passing. I offer you my most sincere condolences. I met Mike six years ago when I started working for the Vietnam program, at Global Affairs Canada. Mike was an amazing program assistant and had such a sharp eye, he wouldn't miss a thing! I learned a lot from him, he was always so thorough and asking a lot from the partners we work with. Last year I worked more closely with him, after coming back from 4 years in Vietnam, but still working for the Asia branch. I admired his dedication and while sick and undergoing treatment, he would still continue to work with us and support us. He was an amazing person, a man of few words, but so generous and competent. We already miss him so much!

Mike's Family

Very saddened to hear the news. Mike was one of the first people I met when I joined the CIDA Indonesia Program, back in 1996. He was always kind and considerate to me, as well as helpful (I was new to government). Over the years we would joke about retirement, what we would do etc.

So sorry that Mike's post-retirement has been far too short. He was one of the good ones...
