MARTEL, Louise

1948 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise Martel on March 7th, 2024, at the age of 76.

Beloved daughter of the late Roland Martel and of the late Raymonde Lanthier, she leaves to mourn her daughter Nathalie Drennan (born Superina) and her grandchildren Mitchel Collins and Madison Drennan.  She also leaves her brother Jacques Martel, her sister Suzanne Martel as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Pierre Martel.

In order to respect her wishes, there will be no funeral.  A celebration of life will be held in spring with immediate family.

For those who wish to do so, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the Gatineau Hospital staff for their support and the good care provided.

Louise Martel's Family

I met Louise about four years ago and we became friends instantly. Every morning she would take the time to call my office just to say hello, that always made my day.
She was full of life and her smile was contagious.

Our deepest condolences to her family. We have wonderful memories of you Louise, you will always be in our hearts.
