In Gatineau, on February 23, 2017, Mrs. Louise Guay (née Baxter), beloved wife of the late Léo Guay.  Born in Scotland, Louise came to Canada in 1945 as a war bride. She quickly adapted to her new country. She leaves behind her children: André (Janet), Vivienne and Gilles (Carole); her grand-children: Tanya (Michel), Jake (Danielle), Daniel (Kim), Adam (Jana), Mike (Erin), Robert (Anika) and Justin (Heather); her great-grand-children: Nicole, Patrick, Erin, Adalyn and Bria; her step-grand-children: Mark (Andrew), Katy (Andrew) and Isabelle (Tyler); her sister Nancy and many relatives in Scotland. A celebration of her life will be held at La Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, 95 Boul. Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau, on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Donations can be made to Le Foyer du Bonheur, 125 Lionel-Émond, Gatineau, QC, J8Y 5S8.

Louise Guay

Dear Guay Family,.......Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother and grandmother. We got to know Louise and Leo when Vivienne and Eddy were members of the N.D.G. Garden Club. They attended our weekly BBQ every Wednesday night with Vivienne and Eddy. We had many fun evenings at the Garden because Leo was very generous with his donations of wine. Louise was a kind and caring person with a sense of humor and was always cheerful. She will be missed by her many friends. Rest in peace Louise. Sincerely, Mary and Chester Sawczyszyn.
