Skeoch (Tickell), Jonathon William George

SKEOCH (TICKELL), Jonathon William George

1977 - 2017

We are profoundly saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jonny at the young age of 40.

We will forever miss his beautiful smile, his generous spirit, his happy laughter, his kidness to all people and animals. He loved walking in nature and playing his guitar and most of all, his friends.

He leaves heartbroken, his mother Sherri Clark, his longtime girlfriend Marie-Josée Kenney and Meeka, his brothers: James and Matthew Tickell; his sisters: Melanie (Vincent Leduc), Amanda (Kevin Parisien), Jennifer and Melissa (Tim Monaghan). As well he is survived by his nieces and nephews: Denee (Tyler Duquette), Landon, Jenna, Victoria, Callie, Elijah, Quinn, Joshua and Annabelle. Sadly most of his great-nieces and great-nephews: Tianna, Tristan, Nicholas, Phylisity, Jack, Anya, Isabella and Stanley live to far away to have known that beautiful smile.

The memorial services will be held at later dates in Gatineau and Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, or any Humane Society.

Sherri Clarke and family

My dearest Sherri. My heart breaks for what you and your family are going through. There are no words that will take away your pain. Only time will and even then you will still feel sad whenever you think of Johnny not still being here with you. He was taken way too young. Hold his memories close to your heart sweetie for one day we will all be joined together with our loved ones that we have lost. Please know how sorry my family is for your loss. Hugs, Sylvia.

Sherri, Matt, James, Melanie and family.

I am so deeply sorry for your (and my) loss. I'm still having a hard time even believing this is real. Jon was so special to so many people (including me). He had a gift for making people happy and making life a little more exciting. I knew Jonny for 25+ years. We lived together for a couple of those years. We had kinda lost touch over the past few years but I always considered him like a brother so you're not alone in your suffering as I'm sure you're fully aware. I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help being here in Belleville but I'd be more than happy to help with the service here. Please feel free to ask me. Don't hesitate to contact me. Rich Hutton has my number. Take care and thanks for posting this memorial.

the family

I knew Jon as a colleague of many years at Millennium. It was such a large and generally impersonal company that Jonathon's efforts at being so kind and cheerful (even to relative strangers) really distinguished him in the minds of everyone - and there were so very many of us who felt that way. We all appreciated his unique and generous spirit which radiated a genuine and heartfelt concern for people's dignity and self worth. He was a real humanitarian in words and deeds - especially the unobserved kinds of deeds that mean so much and speak volumes about a person's real character. I am truly sad to hear this news. Jon was a sweetheart... so gentle and light-hearted... He always had a genuine smile on his face and a happy skip in his step... Sincere condolences to his loving family - who clearly strengthened the ennobling qualities he possessed in abundance. May he rest in peace.
